Congress mobilisation for Delhi rally faces transportation setbacks in Telangana

The party's plan to send 15,000 workers to Delhi has shrunk to fewer than 5,000 participants, according to Deccan Chronicle.

The Congress party's plan to transport 15,000 leaders and workers from Telangana to Delhi for a November 1 rally against the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls has faced setbacks, according to a report by Deccan Chronicle.

The party's attempt to arrange special trains through South Central Railway was declined. While the party turned to buses as an alternative, many workers are reportedly reluctant to undertake a nearly two-day road trip with stops at Adilabad, Nagpur and Agra.

With airfares considered too expensive for the party to pay, the number of willing participants has reportedly dropped from the initial target of 15,000 to fewer than 5,000. Even this smaller group reportedly requires significant persuasion to use the buses.

In other developments, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has been telling investors to double their intended investments in Telangana. He has told investors to double their growth projections and expected profits, promising personal policy support and facilitation.

Meanwhile, Medak MLA Mynampally Rohith faced social media criticism after a video appeared to show him playing video games on his mobile phone during a meeting at Praja Bhavan regarding the drought situation.

Separately, Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju reportedly pulled up an IG-rank IPS officer for arriving more than 10 minutes late to a review meeting at the Secretariat.
