Mamata Banerjee meets CJP activist ahead of INDIA bloc rally
Former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met Abhijeet Dipke to discuss support for the upcoming protest in New Delhi.
Former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) activist Abhijeet Dipke on Saturday in New Delhi. The meeting took place ahead of the INDIA bloc rally scheduled for Sunday at Ramlila Maidan.
Banerjee said the CJP has extended its support for the Sunday programme. She praised the organisation as the pioneers and founders of the movement and stated she had invited Dipke and the group to visit West Bengal.
Banerjee added that the organisation is doing a very good job for the country. Following the meeting, Dipke thanked Banerjee for her support of the youth movement and said the CJP would participate in Sunday's protest in solidarity.
Dipke clarified that the CJP is an independent and neutral platform and intends to keep it that way. He said the issue of alleged vote theft is bigger than any individual organisation.
The INDIA bloc has organised the 'Vote Bachao Maha Rally' at Ramlila Maidan on November 1, 2026. The rally aims to protest against issues involving central governance, democratic institutions, and electoral roll revisions.
