Congress is declining everywhere, says Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav

The Chief Minister criticised Rahul Gandhi in Betul, alleging the party blames voting machines only after losing elections.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said on Saturday that the Congress party has backslid across the country. Speaking at a function in Betul where he distributed bonuses to Tendu leaf collectors, Yadav claimed the party's fortune has sunk in 80 per cent of areas.

According to the Free Press Journal, Yadav stated that Rahul Gandhi remains unable to accept reality and does not know where he will lead the party.

The Chief Minister noted that while elections are conducted through EVMs, MLC elections were conducted through ballot papers and the Congress lost those. He alleged that the party does not blame EVMs when it wins, but criticises the machines after losing polls.

Yadav also claimed that during Congress rule, the government did not give any money to farmers whose lands were auctioned. He further alleged that Congress members did not provide proper rates to farmers for their produce.

During the event, the Chief Minister announced development work worth Rs 443 crore in Betul.
