Kiren Rijiju mocks Congress over Ramlila Maidan rally crowd claims
The Union Minister alleged that the Congress party used fake AI photos to show the venue was full during the Sunday rally.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju mocked the Congress party on X regarding its claims of a large crowd at the INDIA bloc rally held at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan on Sunday. According to Moneycontrol, Rijiju alleged that the party's narrative team used a fake AI photo to show the ground was full.
BJP National Spokesperson CR Kesavan shared a video on X showing empty chairs and space at the venue. Kesavan described the rally as an embarrassing flop show and a fiasco, alleging people walked away when Rahul Gandhi began speaking.
Ahead of the event, the INDIA bloc had claimed that 10 lakh people would attend the rally. However, BJP MP Patra claimed that between 3:30 pm and 4 pm, around 5,000 to 7,000 chairs were vacant out of 28,000 chairs at the venue.
Patra further alleged that 40 per cent of the Ramlila Maidan space was vacant. He questioned the Congress claim of a 10 lakh turnout, stating the opposition could not gather the claimed number of people despite bringing together several parties.
