Congress Rajya Sabha MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh provided meals and overnight stays for party workers following a rally at Ramlila Maidan.
Congress Rajya Sabha MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh hosted a dinner for party workers and leaders from Bihar at his Delhi residence on Sunday, according to The Indian Express.
The workers and leaders had attended a rally at Ramlila Maidan before travelling to Singh's bungalow at 11, Talkatora. The MP, who represents Bihar in the Upper House, arranged for a caterer to serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.
Several workers stayed overnight at the bungalow before they departed for Bihar on Monday.
In another development, BJP national secretary Swadesh Singh has written a book titled ‘The Statue of Unity, the World’s Tallest Statue’.
Singh says the book is the centrepiece of a story regarding unity, vision and transformation. It traces the journey from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s role in unifying India to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming Kevadia into Ekta Nagar.
