Samajwadi Party is a curse for Uttar Pradesh, says Yogi Adityanath
The Chief Minister alleged that the party has only brought chaos whenever it has been in power.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday termed the Samajwadi Party a "shraap" (curse) for the state, alleging that the party has only ushered in chaos whenever it has held power, according to the Deccan Herald.
Adityanath was speaking at a programme in Gonda after launching 69 development projects valued at over Rs 520 crore.
The Chief Minister alleged that the largest food-grain scam occurred in Gonda during the tenure of the Samajwadi Party government.
He claimed that development was previously restricted to a few locations, such as Saifai, which is the native village of Samajwadi Party founder and former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Adityanath stated that development is now progressing in all 75 districts, 350 tehsils, 825 development blocks, and 762 urban local bodies.
He further said that electricity will be supplied to areas like Gonda, Bahraich, and Balrampur, rather than only to Rampur or Saifai, and noted that free ration is being provided to the poor.
