Tamil Nadu faces Chandigarh in Elite Group D Ranji Trophy fixture
Tamil Nadu seeks a third consecutive victory when they play Chandigarh at the Sector-16 Stadium from Monday.
Tamil Nadu will play Chandigarh in an Elite Group D Ranji Trophy match at the Sector-16 Stadium starting on Monday, according to The Hindu and Sportstar.
The Tamil Nadu men’s team currently sits second on the table with 14 points from three matches. They secured back-to-back victories over Uttarakhand and Railways in Chennai following a loss to Rajasthan in Jaipur.
Chandigarh, led by Manan Vohra, is in seventh place with one point from three matches and remains winless in the competition. This fourth-round clash is the final game for both teams before the red-ball competition breaks for white-ball tournaments.
Tamil Nadu head coach Yo Mahesh said the team aims to complete a hat-trick of wins. He stated that the bowling attack's goal is to take 20 wickets regardless of the pitch, though they may change plans if the surface is too flat.
The match follows a high-scoring encounter between Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh, where 1,244 runs were scored for the loss of 11 wickets. Tamil Nadu has not yet crossed the 350-run mark in this campaign.
