MMC and GHMC officials inspect Begumpet to streamline civic services
Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy and GHMC officials conducted a joint inspection on Saturday.
Officials from the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) jointly inspected Begumpet on Saturday. According to Telangana Today, the inspection aimed to identify jurisdictional boundaries and streamline civic services.
The inspection was conducted by MMC Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy and senior GHMC officials. A press release stated that clarity regarding jurisdiction would improve coordination for waste collection, sanitation, and other civic services.
During the visit, Vinay Krishna Reddy directed MMC Urban Biodiversity officials to speed up landscaping and greenery restoration beneath the Begumpet flyover. He also ordered the removal of debris, obstructions, and unnecessary materials along the median.
At the Fatehnagar flyover, the Commissioner ordered the removal of unwanted materials, disused shops, and other obstructions beneath the structure. This is intended to facilitate the development of the area for public use.
Officials were also instructed to prepare proposals for road repairs and construction. These measures are intended to ensure smooth traffic movement on both sides of the roads.
