Three Pakistani fielders failed to catch a high ball during the India versus Pakistan match at the U19 Asia Cup, according to The Times of India.
The incident occurred in the 44th over when bowler Mohammed Sayyam delivered a length ball to Kavya Patel. Patel hit a top edge that sent the ball high into the air.
Sayyam, wicketkeeper Hamza Zahoor, and fielder Usman Khan all moved towards the ball but none took responsibility for the catch. All three moved away at the last moment, allowing the ball to land on the ground.
Sayyam questioned his teammates about the missed opportunity following the error. Indian players Kavya Patel and Ishan Sood were seen smiling after receiving a second chance.
Earlier in the innings, Arjun Rajput scored 107 runs off 85 balls to help India recover after the team slipped to 86/5. India was eventually bowled out for 208 in 46.3 overs.
Pakistan, which featured bowlers Rizwanullah and Mohammed Sayyam, has a target of 209 runs to win the match.
