Rajeev Chandrasekhar accuses Rahul Gandhi of failing Telangana election promises
The BJP leader alleged that the Congress party used false guarantees to gain power in Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Sunday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of misleading the people of Telangana regarding six guarantees promised during the Assembly election campaign three years ago.
According to ANI, Chandrasekhar alleged that the Congress party failed to fulfil these promises and instead engaged in corruption and exploitation. He claimed the party followed a similar pattern in Karnataka and Kerala to secure power.
Chandrasekhar further alleged that Gandhi attempts to divert public attention from fraud by manufacturing controversy and anarchy. He described this approach as a shameless strategy that the BJP would continue to expose.
Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao said the party would oppose Gandhi's planned visit to the state on November 14 to attend the Bharat Summit. Rao told ANI that the party intends to protest the Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition's participation by displaying black flags.
Rao alleged that the Congress government has not implemented any of the six guarantees promised three years ago. He stated that the party would not permit Gandhi to take part in the scheduled event.
