Shehzad Poonawalla becomes first finalist of Rise and Fall Season 2
The television personality secured his spot in the finale after winning a task against Karan Patel.
Shehzad Poonawalla has become the first contestant to qualify for the finale of the reality show Rise and Fall Season 2, according to reports by ANI and The Times of India. The television commentator won the Ticket to Finale by completing a circuit board task in 23 minutes and 46 seconds alongside partner Rishabh Jaiswal.
During the competition, the pair finished faster than Karan Patel and Jashwanth Bopanna, who completed the same task in 35 minutes and 38 seconds. This victory also made Poonawalla the first Ruler to earn the Ultimate Ruler title twice in the series.
Following the task, Poonawalla was given the power to save one Ruler from elimination. He chose to save Gautam Gulati instead of Swara Bhasker or Karan Patel, stating he did not want to repeat a previous mistake involving Irina Rudakova.
Gulati was then asked to rank the other Rulers based on their strength and decisions. He ranked Swara Bhasker first, followed by Karan Patel in second, Sonam Malik in third, and Manish Kashyap last.
Using his remaining power, Poonawalla decided to eliminate Manish Kashyap and Sonam Malik, sending both to the Basement. His team claimed his qualification is a historic achievement, noting he is the first politician to reach a finale in reality television history.
