Singer and rapper Honey Singh travelled to Jalandhar on Sunday to be with his family after his nephew, Vidit Auluck, died in a road accident on November 1. According to reports from Hindustan Times, the singer arrived at the residence of Dinesh Auluck, the owner of Speed Records, to offer condolences.
The accident occurred around 3 am on a flyover near the Police Lines area in Jalandhar. Vidit Auluck and his friend, Aarav Talwar, were travelling in a Volkswagen from BMC Chowk towards BSF Chowk when the vehicle collided with a Municipal Corporation tractor-trolley parked on the flyover. The tractor-trolley was reportedly being used by sanitation workers for cleaning work.
Both Vidit and Aarav died at the scene. Three other people were in the car but survived the collision. Baradari police station SHO Sahil Chaudhary confirmed the incident, and an investigation was launched to determine the circumstances.
The Indian Express reported that the families chose not to pursue legal action.
