Congress targets Centre over Amitabh Bachchan using bulletproof glass screen

Maharashtra Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant criticised the government over the law and order situation after the actor appeared behind protective glass.

Maharashtra Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant on Monday criticised the Centre regarding the law and order situation after megastar Amitabh Bachchan appeared behind a bulletproof glass screen on Sunday.

According to a report by Deccan Herald, Sawant claimed the actor is using the protective screen due to fear related to gangsters.

The appearance of the glass screen occurred two weeks after actor Tiger Shroff was shot at in Juhu, an incident for which the Lawrence Bishnoi group has purportedly claimed responsibility.

Sawant questioned if the situation reflects the state of the country, noting that the actor was once known as the 'Angry Young Man'.

The spokesperson sarcastically demanded a 'Namo Bollywood Life Security Scheme' and suggested that Bachchan, who previously tweeted about petrol prices and the rupee, should now post messages stating the country is in safe hands.

Sawant also alleged that the gangster causing this fear is currently residing in Sabarmati Jail and remarked that only the BJP can save people from its own terror.
