Hyderabad water supply disruption for 36 hours from November 3
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board will undertake repairs to fix leakages in the Gandipet conduit.
Drinking water supply will be partially disrupted in several parts of Hyderabad from 6 am on Tuesday, November 3, until 6 pm on Wednesday, November 4, according to reports by The Hindu, Telangana Today, and Deccan Chronicle.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) will undertake the 36-hour repairs to fix major leakages in the 20 MGD-capacity Gandipet conduit. The work is scheduled near Sabza Colony, Tolichowki, and Manikonda.
Affected areas include Red Hills, Nampally, Mallepally, Sitarambagh, Godeki Khabar, Hindinagar, Assembly, Secretariat, New MLA Quarters, Adarsh Nagar, the Nampally South Central Railway area, and Gunfoundry. Other impacted localities include Chintal Basti, Vijayanagar Colony, Old Mallepally, Asif Nagar, and Ahmed Nagar.
The disruption will also affect Domalguda, parts of the Gandhinagar and Kavadiguda wards, and the Banjara Hills ward under the Jubilee Hills circle. Areas dependent on the Krishna, Godavari, and Singur-Manjira projects will not face supply issues.
HMWSSB officials have urged consumers in the affected areas to use water sparingly during the repair period.
