Three Assam workers allegedly assaulted in Bengaluru over spicy noodles

A group of men reportedly attacked three fast-food employees in Electronics City following a dispute regarding the taste of food.

Three men from Assam working at a fast-food outlet in Electronics City, Bengaluru, were allegedly assaulted by a group of men on October 29, according to The Hindu. The dispute reportedly began when the accused, who were allegedly in an inebriated state, complained that the noodles were too spicy.

The verbal altercation escalated into a physical attack where the accused allegedly pushed and kicked the workers to the ground. Mobile phone footage of the incident has since appeared on social media platforms.

The Electronics City police station has registered a case regarding the matter. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation to identify the accused and determine the circumstances of the assault.

In a separate incident in Delhi this October, a woman from Nagaland alleged that three men in a white Mercedes attempted to force her and her friends into the vehicle near the Ashoka Hotel in Chanakyapuri. The woman claimed the men also attacked a man who intervened with a hockey stick and an iron rod.

Police arrested all three suspects in the Delhi case after registering an FIR under Sections 115(2), 126(2) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
