Amit Shah accuses Revanth Reddy of using Telangana as ATM for Delhi

The Union Home Minister criticised the Congress government during a BJP march in Hyderabad on Monday.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of turning the state into a funding source for Congress leaders in Delhi. Speaking at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ march in Hyderabad on Monday, Shah claimed development funds are being siphoned to Delhi while poll promises remain unfulfilled, according to ANI.

Shah stated that Rahul Gandhi's six guarantees have not been met and alleged that the state leadership is responsible for financial mismanagement. During the rally, party workers displayed posters depicting the Chief Minister as an incapacitated patient to symbolise what the BJP described as administrative paralysis.

Addressing the opposition's criticism of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), Shah questioned how the Congress came to power in states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Himachal Pradesh if the machines are faulty. He said that when the opposition wins, they credit the people, but they blame EVMs when they lose.

The Home Minister also discussed national security, mentioning surgical strikes and Operation Sindoor as actions taken against terrorism. He stated that the government aims to make India drug-free before December 31, 2029.

Shah claimed the BJP is the only alternative to stop corruption and conspiracies in the state. He noted that after the 2024 elections, the BJP won in Maharashtra, Haryana, Delhi, Bihar, Bengal, and Assam, and asserted the party is set to win in Telangana next.
