Delhi traffic diversions planned for INDIA bloc rally on November 1
Police have issued a traffic advisory for Central and West Delhi ahead of a mega rally at Ramlila Maidan.
Traffic movement in parts of Delhi will be regulated on November 1 due to an INDIA bloc rally at Ramlila Maidan, according to Mint. The rally is being held against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.
The Delhi Traffic Police stated that diversions in Central Delhi will be implemented between 10 am and 5 pm. In West Delhi, restrictions will apply from 9 am to 3 pm on Sunday for a padyatra moving from the Hari Nagar DTC depot on Jail Road to the Tilak Nagar Metro station.
Key diversion points in Central Delhi include Netaji Subhash Marg, Ranjeet Singh Flyover, Rajghat, and the Delhi Gate. Commuters may face congestion on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Aruna Asaf Ali Road, and Minto Road.
DTC bus movements will be regulated on BSZ Marg, Minto Road, and the stretch from Rajghat to JLN Marg. For those heading to New Delhi Railway Station, police suggested using Chelmsford Road or Bhavbhuti Marg depending on the direction of travel.
Parking has been arranged at the Rajghat, DMRC parking lots, and the railway parking area opposite Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital. A separate passage near the hospital will be kept open for emergency vehicles.
