Varanasi to host Aristotle-Confucius Symposium from November 2 to 4
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Adani Foundation Chairperson Dr Priti Adani are scheduled to address the event.
Varanasi will host the 'Aristotle-Confucius Symposium' 2026 from November 2 to 4 to foster civilizational dialogue across philosophical traditions, according to The Hawk.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been invited to inaugurate the event and deliver a keynote address. He is expected to speak on Hinduism’s civilizational heritage and 'Sanatan Dharm'.
Adani Foundation Founder and Chairperson Dr Priti Adani is scheduled to deliver a speech at 9 a.m. on November 2. The symposium aims to explore various traditions, including Aristotelian, Confucian, Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Catholic, and Muslim perspectives.
Officials stated that Varanasi was chosen because it is one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities and brings together Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. The event seeks to connect ancient wisdom to contemporary challenges like geopolitical tensions and ecological crises.
The symposium will integrate artificial intelligence to support cross-cultural engagement and language dialogue. The core conference will take place on November 2 and 3, featuring structured dialogues and thematic sessions.
On November 4, the programme will focus on cultural immersion and site visits. Participants will visit the Ganges ghats, temple complexes, and Sarnath.
