Mohammad Yousuf advises Babar Azam to seek specialised coaching abroad

The former Pakistan captain suggested Babar travel to Australia or South Africa to address technical flaws in his batting.

Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousuf has urged Babar Azam to travel to Australia or South Africa to work with specialist coaches to address technical flaws in his batting.

Yousuf stated on social media on Sunday that the batter should focus on working on his batting in those countries to help him rediscover his form.

The former captain expressed concern regarding Babar's decision to play in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, where he is scheduled to represent Lahore from November 3.

Yousuf wrote on X that Babar should not play first-class cricket until he fixes technical issues through specialised coaching, warning that struggling in domestic cricket could harm his confidence.

The 32-year-old batter has scored only one century in ODIs over the last three years. He has also been dropped from Pakistan's T20I setup.

Former Pakistan captain Waqar Younis recently said on a podcast that Babar had been unfortunate not to receive necessary support from teammates, while retired all-rounder Imad Wasim defended the batter against media criticism.
