The truck crashed into a roadside eatery in Maharashtra after breaking through a flyover railing.
Two people died after a speeding container truck broke through a flyover railing and crashed into a roadside eatery in Maharashtra's Jalna, police said.
The accident occurred on the flyover connecting Nutan Vasahat to the Shani Mandir area while the vehicle was travelling from Ambad Chaufuli towards Nutan Vasahat.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer Anant Kulkarni said the truck fell off the bridge and landed on Ekta Dhaba. The two occupants of the truck were initially found alive but later died at the hospital.
Kulkarni stated that the deceased are suspected to be the driver and cleaner of the truck, though their identities have not been confirmed. The vehicle is registered in Haryana.
The officer said the eatery was closed at the time of the accident, which prevented further casualties. Police attempted to contact the vehicle owner in Hisar.
PSI Shewale reached the spot to carry out a rescue operation after receiving information about the incident.
