Television actor Arjun Bijlani hosts housewarming for new Karjat villa
The 12,000-square-foot property, named Tara Villa, features a private pool, a jacuzzi and a 1,000-square-foot lawn.
Television actor Arjun Bijlani recently held a griha pravesh ceremony for his new villa in Karjat, according to The Indian Express. The property, named Tara Villa, is a holiday home built by the actor to match his specific vision.
The villa spans approximately 12,000 square feet and features a 1,000-square-foot lawn, a private swimming pool and a jacuzzi. Bijlani said the name Tara is a combination of his wife Neha’s mother’s name, Tanuja, and his late father-in-law’s name, Rakesh.
The home follows an all-white colour palette inspired by Greek architecture. Bijlani noted that the main entrance includes an evil-eye symbol and a Panchmukhi Hanuman idol to keep 'buri nazar' away from the house.
The interior includes a living room designed by Bijlani, which features a recliner sofa and a snail-shaped rug. He also mentioned a corner decorated with artefacts that his wife helped source to reduce costs.
The bedroom includes a dressing room and an extended terrace with views of the mountains. The terrace is designed like a cabana and contains a jacuzzi for the family to use.
The outdoor space includes landscaped pathways and a Buddha sculpture. Bijlani described the building process as a hands-on experience where several elements were redesigned to match his vision.
