Revanth Reddy is committing credit chori in land cases, says Harish Rao

Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader T. Harish Rao alleged the Chief Minister is taking credit for a Supreme Court victory in the Miyapur lands case.

Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad on Saturday, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader T. Harish Rao accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of "credit chori" regarding the Miyapur lands case win in the Supreme Court.

Harish Rao said the BRS Government until 2023 won many land cases in court to protect government lands. He alleged the Chief Minister sought the sale of 550 acres in Miyapur from the concerned District Collector before receiving the Supreme Court judgment.

The BRS leader stated that of 192 hearings in the Miyapur case, 86 were argued by C.S. Vaidyanathan, who was appointed by the BRS Government. He noted that only 11 hearings occurred after the Congress came to power.

Harish Rao also alleged the previous Congress Government weakened the 2010 Greyhounds land case of Manchirevulu by sending a Government Pleader instead of the Advocate General. He said the KCR Government filed an appeal on May 19, 2017, leading to a High Court Division Bench judgment in the government's favour on December 31, 2021.

The Supreme Court gave a final verdict on August 1, 2023, to secure 142 acres of land for Greyhounds. Harish Rao claimed the total value of the Manchirevulu land scam was about Rs 2,000 crore.
