The marriage was solemnised under the Special Marriage Act in New Delhi on Friday.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah married journalist Nidhi Razdan in New Delhi on Friday, according to reports by The Pioneer, Hindustan Times and The New Indian Express.
Abdullah, 56, shared photographs of the couple on X on Saturday, stating that a new journey began. Razdan, 49, also shared photographs on the platform, writing, "It's done bro."
The marriage was solemnised under the Special Marriage Act with family members from both sides serving as witnesses. Wedding functions were held in both New Delhi and Srinagar, attended by relatives including Abdullah's parents, Farooq Abdullah and Mollie, and Razdan's parents, MK Razdan and Sarla Razdan.
This is the second marriage for both individuals. Abdullah's marriage to his first wife, Payal, was dissolved by a Supreme Court order in July this year after the couple reached a settlement.
Abdullah and Payal had been living separately since 2009. Abdullah has two sons, Zahir Abdullah and Zamir Abdullah, from his first marriage.
