The Massachusetts boy started his roadside stand using surplus cucumbers grown in his family's garden.
Donovan Atkinson, a five-year-old from Attleboro, Massachusetts, has sold more than 500 jars of homemade pickles from a roadside stand, according to the Times of India.
The venture, known as 'The Pickle Kid', began after Atkinson's family grew more cucumbers in their garden than they could use.
Atkinson and his mother, Gabrielle Atkinson, started making pickles at home to prevent the extra produce from going to waste.
The boy has been selling the jars from his stand since 2025 to neighbours, friends, and passers-by.
Running the stand has provided Atkinson with experience in counting money, speaking with customers, and basic money management.
According to a WCVB report, Atkinson hopes to develop The Pickle Kid into a full pickle business in the future.
