ADNOC signs 10-year LNG supply deal with Gujarat Energy
The Abu Dhabi firm will provide up to 4 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas to the company starting in 2028.
Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (ADNOC) has entered into a 10-year sales and purchase agreement to supply up to 4 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Gujarat Energy Ltd, according to Siasat.
The contract is set to begin in 2028 and represents the first commercial sale from XRG, the international gas portfolio of ADNOC's investment arm.
This arrangement marks the fifth LNG supply deal the Abu Dhabi firm has secured with Indian energy companies, joining previous agreements with Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), GAIL, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), and Bharat Petroleum.
Rashid Al Mazrouei, ADNOC's chief marketing and origination officer for LNG, said the deal reinforces a commitment to providing reliable, long-term supplies and connects the company's international portfolio with global customers.
Gujarat Energy Managing Director Avantika Singh Aulakh stated that the partnership would allow the companies to join forces, noting that the firm operates a city gas network across 44 districts in six states.
ADNOC's global LNG marketing and trading platform aims to market 47 million tonnes per annum of LNG beyond 2030.
