Madhya Pradesh will never tolerate criminal elements, says CM Mohan Yadav

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reaffirmed a zero-tolerance policy toward crime while announcing support for the family of a fallen police officer.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday stated that the state will not tolerate criminal elements, according to ANI.

Speaking at a press conference in Bhopal after reviewing a passing out parade for 48 newly inducted Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), Yadav highlighted recent police intervention in a Bhopal encounter involving an IAS officer.

The Chief Minister also announced that Town Inspector (TI) Dilip Puri, who died in the line of duty in Dewas district, has been granted martyr status. He said the state would provide full support to the family of the deceased officer, including a government job for his wife.

Yadav noted that the government is conducting continuous recruitment drives, stating that nearly 18,500 posts have been sanctioned in the police department over the last three years. He said training academies are currently operating at full capacity.

The Chief Minister added that the state has cleared more than 65,000 promotions to address long-standing backlogs for jawans. He also mentioned the 'Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy' (Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao) campaign, which included marches in Indore, Jabalpur, and Bhopal.
