Fortnite introduces Pirate Shop token system for free cosmetic items
Players can use rare tokens to claim Item Shop cosmetics for free during two 14-day activation periods.
Fortnite has introduced the Pirate Shop, a new token-based feature within the Treasure Hunters Mini-Season, according to The Times of India. The system allows players to unlock every cosmetic in the Item Shop at no V-Bucks cost for 14 days once a token is activated.
The token can be found by opening Treasure Hunt Chests located inside buildings at named points of interest on the Crossbones Isle map. While there is no guaranteed method to find one, players in a party benefit from their teammates' luck, as everyone in the party receives the token if one player finds it.
Each token provides two separate activations. The first activation window runs from November 1 to December 15, 2026, while the second runs from January 1 to December 15, 2027. Each period lasts for 14 days once the player selects the 'Activate Now' option in the Item Shop menu.
The token cannot be used for real-money offers, Battle Pass levels, gifting, or Sidekicks that a player already owns. Additionally, the token is non-transferable, meaning it cannot be given to friends, although party members can receive it if found together.
