Lakshya Sen will miss the USD 500,000 Super 500 badminton tournament in Yeosu, South Korea.

HS Prannoy will lead the Indian contingent at the USD 500,000 Super 500 badminton tournament in Yeosu, South Korea, starting on Tuesday, according to Telangana Today and The Bridge. The tournament begins following the withdrawal of Lakshya Sen, who was scheduled to face China's Dong Tian Yao in the opening round.

Prannoy, a 2023 World Championships bronze medallist, will open his men's singles campaign against South Korea's Yoo Tae Bin. The 33-year-old is expected to shoulder responsibility in the category in the absence of Sen, who recently won the Hylo Open in Germany.

Anmol Kharb, who reached the semifinals of the Hylo Open last week, will face Canada's Rachel Chan. Kharb, 19, previously played against two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu during her run in Germany.

In the doubles events, Sonali Singh and Ritika Thaker will compete in women's doubles against Australia's Laudya Chelsea Griselda and Nozomi Shimizu. Dhruv Rawat and K Maneesha will represent India in mixed doubles against seventh seeds Zhu Yi Jun and Li Qian of China.
