Nitin Gadkari approves Rs 826.66 crore highway projects in Haryana and Rajasthan
The infrastructure projects aim to reduce traffic congestion, improve road capacity, and strengthen regional and freight connectivity in both states.
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced highway infrastructure projects worth Rs 826.66 crore for Haryana and Rajasthan, according to The Tribune.
In Haryana, the Centre has approved Rs 340.78 crore to construct a 2.75-km-long, six-lane elevated corridor at the Sohna Chowk intersection of NH-919 and NH-248A in Nuh district.
Gadkari said the continuous elevated corridor will segregate Gurugram–Nuh through traffic from local and cross traffic to ensure signal-free movement through Sohna.
The project is expected to strengthen connectivity with the Kundli–Manesar–Palwal (KMP) Expressway and the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway.
In Rajasthan, approval has been granted for a Rs 485.88 crore project to upgrade a 19.22-km stretch of NH-25 to four-lane standards.
This Rajasthan project will run from Pachpadra Bypass to Patau Interchange in Balotra district and will include grade-separated structures at major intersections.
