NBCC shares jump 9 per cent on Rajasthan tourist circuit project

The state-owned construction company signed an agreement to develop the Maharana Pratap Tourist Circuit at Haldighati in Rajasthan.

Shares of state-owned construction company NBCC (India) rose 9 per cent to settle at ₹76 on Monday. According to Mint, the rally followed the company's announcement regarding plans to develop the Maharana Pratap Tourist Circuit at Haldighati in Rajasthan.

The company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan Department of Tourism and the Rajasthan Heritage Authority (RHA). Under the agreement, NBCC will handle the planning, designing, execution, operation, and maintenance of the works.

The project, sanctioned by the Rajasthan government at ₹168.39 crore excluding GST, includes a project management consultancy fee of 4.25 per cent. Proposed developments include a historical museum and the world's largest statue of Maharana Pratap at Haldighati.

The tourist circuit will also feature a topographical projection show at the Haldighati Memorial to present the Battle of Haldighati through an immersive visual experience.

The stock's performance follows a period of volatility, having lost a cumulative 33 per cent over the last four months. In 2026, the stock has declined by 38 per cent so far.

Last week, NBCC announced it sold 8.80 lakh sq ft of residential real estate in Delhi through an e-auction for ₹5,191 crore. The sale was conducted for the central government, and NBCC will receive a 1 per cent marketing fee.
