The India Meteorological Department expects the cyclone to bring thunderstorms and gusty winds to the state starting November 1.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert for several districts in Telangana as Cyclone Murasu approaches the Andhra Pradesh coast, according to Urban Acres.

The system is forecast to intensify into a severe cyclonic storm and cross the south Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Narsapur by the morning of November 3.

Telangana is expected to experience weather impacts starting November 1, with conditions becoming heavier towards the middle of the week.

A heavy rain warning has been issued for Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Suryapet, Nalgonda and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri for Monday and Tuesday.

The IMD Hyderabad forecast noted that Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Rangareddy will see steady overcast conditions and intermittent light to moderate rain.

Rainfall is expected to gradually ease on Wednesday as the system weakens into a depression, though localised thunderstorm activity may continue.
