Party president Mallikarjun Kharge and LoP Rahul Gandhi met with Manipur leaders at Kharge's residence on Monday.

The Congress party held a meeting with its Manipur leadership on Monday at the residence of party president Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi, according to ANI.

Mallikarjun Kharge, Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi, Congress General Secretary (Organisation) KC Venugopal, and the Manipur state president attended the meeting at 10 Rajaji Marg.

The meeting follows a rally organised by the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) in Imphal. Participants from various communities, including those from hill and valley regions, demanded the scrapping of the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement.

The COCOMI rally also urged authorities to ensure the safe return of internally displaced persons (IDPs) to their homes.

Separately, the INDIA bloc held a mega rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan regarding alleged irregularities in electoral rolls and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. Rahul Gandhi attended the event alongside Mallikarjun Kharge, Mamata Banerjee, and Akhilesh Yadav.

Addressing the rally, Rahul Gandhi accused Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar of facilitating alleged vote theft. He stated the Opposition would continue to protect the Constitution through peaceful and democratic means.
