Beatlemania tribute band to tour India in November
The tribute group will perform in Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Goa during their first live tour in the country.
The Beatles tribute band Beatlemania will perform in India this November, according to The Hindu. The group is scheduled to play at the Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall at Lady Andal School in Chennai on November 11.
The tour will continue to Bengaluru on November 12, followed by shows in Goa on November 13 and 14. The band will conclude the tour in Hyderabad on November 15.
Dave Peterson, who started the band in 1992, said the group has performed in India three times previously, but only for corporate events. He noted that this is their first live tour and said that Indian audiences know all the songs.
The current lineup includes Michael Giagliano as John Lennon, Lee Fuller as Paul McCartney, Nasar Hodson as George Harrison, and Brad Brunsdon as Ringo Starr. Peterson said the current cast came together about five years ago.
The band will perform various hits, including 'Hey Jude', 'Here Comes the Sun', and 'Come Together', which Peterson identified as the most requested songs on the tour. Tickets for the shows are priced from ₹500.
Following the Indian tour, the band will return to the United Kingdom for Christmas shows in London, Manchester, Newcastle, and Glasgow.
