Apple to launch next-gen touchscreen MacBook Pro with M7 chips
The upcoming laptops may feature M7 Pro and M7 Max processors designed to handle AI workloads, according to a Bloomberg report.
Apple is planning to release a second generation of its touchscreen MacBook Pro laptops next year, according to a report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman cited by India Today.
The next models are expected to include M7 Pro and M7 Max chips, which may provide new hardware capabilities for artificial intelligence.
Gurman reported that the company might skip the M6 Pro and M6 Max generations to move directly to the M7 series, which is being developed for AI workloads.
The high-end touchscreen MacBook Pro versions using these processors are reportedly scheduled for release in late 2027.
Apple is also expected to introduce an entry-level 14-inch M7 MacBook Pro. This model may feature a thinner, lighter design and the slimmer bezels seen on recent high-end versions.
The current touchscreen MacBook Pro models, which were announced on October 28, feature M5 Pro and M5 Max chips and PROLED XDR displays with tandem OLED technology.
