New E-City facility will boost Telangana electronics manufacturing, says Sridhar Babu

IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu inaugurated Mivi’s Rs 200 crore manufacturing unit in Tukkuguda on Saturday.

Telangana aims to improve its standing as a major electronics manufacturing hub by drawing investments throughout the value chain, according to The New Indian Express.

IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu said this while inaugurating a new manufacturing facility for Mivi at E-City in Tukkuguda on Saturday.

The unit was established by Aavishkaran Industries Private Limited with an investment of Rs 200 crore and is expected to increase the state's manufacturing capacity.

The minister noted that the manufacturing sector grew by 7.7 per cent in 2025-26, adding Rs 1.37 lakh crore to Telangana’s Gross State Value Added.

Under the Telangana Rising-2047 vision, the government intends to bolster hardware parks and electronics manufacturing clusters while growing in semiconductor manufacturing, chip design, and electronic components.

Hyderabad-based Mivi produces speakers, soundbars, headphones, and earbuds, and has recently entered the smartphone manufacturing market with the Mivi One 5G.
