Darbar Move convoy crosses Ramban district on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway
The convoy carrying government employees and official records moved from Srinagar to Jammu on Sunday morning under tight security.
The annual Darbar Move convoy passed through Ramban district on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) on Sunday morning, according to Greater Kashmir.
The convoy includes government employees, official files, records, and other Secretariat materials. It is travelling from Srinagar to Jammu as the Civil Secretariat shifts to the winter capital for the upcoming season.
An official stated that the administration has implemented strict security and traffic management measures. These arrangements aim to facilitate the safe and smooth passage of the convoy along the strategic highway.
The Darbar Move is a long-standing administrative practice in Jammu and Kashmir. Under this system, the Civil Secretariat and various government offices relocate between Srinagar and Jammu based on the seasons.
