Konda Surekha's absence from Delhi rally sparks political speculation

The Warangal East MLA did not attend the Congress Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao public meeting held in Delhi on Sunday.

Warangal East MLA and former minister Konda Surekha did not attend the Congress party's Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao public meeting in Delhi on Sunday, according to the Deccan Chronicle.

While most Congress MPs, MLAs, and senior leaders were present at the rally, Surekha and her close associates were absent. This has led to discussions regarding potential internal differences within the Congress party.

Since being removed from the Telangana cabinet, Surekha's involvement in government programmes has reportedly decreased. She attended Dasara celebrations for a limited time and was not present when district in-charge minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy reviewed the construction of the Warangal super-speciality hospital.

On the social media platform X, Surekha recently stated she was retracting her previous personal comments directed at BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and expressed regret for them. This retraction has raised questions about her current political strategy.

Political circles in the region are now speculating on the future of the Konda couple. Observers are questioning whether they will remain with the Congress or seek a different political platform.
