Farah Khan asks for privacy after video of argument with cook goes viral
The filmmaker urged social media users not to jump to conclusions following a brief clip of a heated exchange.
Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan has requested social media users to respect the privacy of herself and her long-time cook, Dilip Mukhiya, according to Kalinga TV and India Today. The request follows a viral video clip that appears to show a heated exchange between the two in Mumbai.
In the short video, Mukhiya is heard saying, “Maine kitni baar aapko bola hai,” to which Khan responds, “Tu mujhe samjhaega.” The clip ends when Khan notices someone is filming and asks them to switch off the camera.
Khan addressed the speculation on Instagram, writing, “Guys, please respect Dilip and my privacy. Do not jump to any conclusion,” accompanied by a folded-hands emoji.
Mukhiya has been part of Khan's household for approximately 13 years. He became a familiar face to audiences through Khan's YouTube cooking vlogs starting in 2024, which featured banter between the two.
Khan previously mentioned in an interaction with Soha Ali Khan that Mukhiya's earnings and opportunities increased after appearing in the vlogs. Khan stated that she pays for his children's education and that one of his sons is pursuing a culinary diploma course.
