Singer Yo Yo Honey Singh's nephew dies in Jalandhar road accident

Vidit Auluck and his friend Aarav Talwar died after their car hit a parked tractor-trolley on a flyover.

Singer and music producer Yo Yo Honey Singh confirmed the death of his nephew, Vidit Auluck, following a road accident in Jalandhar, Punjab, on November 1. Vidit and his friend, Aarav Talwar, died after their Volkswagen car rammed into a stationary municipal corporation tractor-trolley on a flyover.

The accident occurred around 3 am on Sunday while the pair were returning from a friend's birthday party. They were travelling from BMC Chowk to BSF Chowk when the collision happened. Sanitation workers had parked the tractor-trolley on the flyover to collect garbage.

Vidit was the son of Dinesh Auluck, founder of the music label Speed Records. Aarav Talwar was the son of a sweets shop owner. Baradari police station SHO Sahil Chaudhary said five people were travelling in the car, but the other three occupants had returned to their homes.

Honey Singh shared his grief on Instagram, stating, "It's a dark decade for me. The loss of my nephew is devastating." Actor-singer Gippy Grewal also expressed sadness over the loss of Vidit, who had turned 18 in March.

The police handed the bodies over to the families after relatives declined further legal action. The final rites for Vidit are scheduled for 1 pm on Tuesday, November 3, at the Model Town cremation ground in Jalandhar.
