Chennaiyin FC and Kerala Blasters play to a goalless draw

Chennaiyin FC failed to score during their Indian Super League match against Kerala Blasters at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Saturday.

Chennaiyin FC and Kerala Blasters played out a 0-0 draw in an Indian Super League match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Saturday, according to The New Indian Express.

The result meant Chennaiyin FC, who had scored only once this season before the tie, continued their wait for goals.

The match saw two red cards during stoppage time, with Chennaiyin's E Imanishimwe and Kerala's Andre Green being sent off.

Kerala Blasters midfielder Adrian Luna missed a penalty five minutes into the second half when his low effort hit the post.

Chennaiyin forward Irfan Yadwad had a lobbed effort parried away by Kerala keeper Amrinder Singh, who also saved attempts from Madih Talal and Imanishimwe.

Chennaiyin FC head coach Clifford Miranda had stated on Friday that goals win football matches.
