Diljit Dosanjh says Bihar concert was cancelled over crowd management issues

The musician revealed during an Instagram Live session that he could not take responsibility for managing large crowds in Bihar.

Musician-actor Diljit Dosanjh stated that he wanted to hold a concert in Bihar but was unable to do so because he was asked to take responsibility for crowd management, according to the Hindustan Times.

Speaking during an Instagram Live session after his October 30 concert in Delhi, Dosanjh said he and his team had attempted to go to Bihar last year. He said that officials told him it would be difficult to manage the crowd and asked if he would take responsibility for it.

Dosanjh said he told them he could not take that responsibility and that they would have to do it. He explained that managing such a massive crowd involves complex logistics similar to organising an event in Delhi.

The performer kicked off his AURA India Tour 2026 with a show at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The Delhi concert had previously faced uncertainty after Delhi Police initially denied permission due to security-related inputs and festive-season law-and-order commitments.

Dosanjh said the Delhi concert was tough and alleged that a lot of people tried to stop it. He praised the Delhi Police and the CRPF for helping him perform.

Following the Delhi show, Dosanjh is scheduled to perform in Chandigarh, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Indore as part of the tour.
