Coal India sets November 4 as record date for interim dividend

The state-owned producer will pay a dividend of ₹10.25 per equity share to eligible shareholders.

Coal India has fixed Wednesday, November 4, 2026, as the record date to determine shareholders eligible for its second interim dividend of the 2026-27 financial year, according to Mint.

The company announced a payout of ₹10.25 per equity share, which has a face value of ₹10 each. This follows the company's September-quarter earnings announcement on October 29.

The dividend is scheduled to be paid on or before November 27 through RBI-approved electronic payment modes. Under the T+1 settlement cycle, Tuesday, November 3, was the final day to purchase shares to qualify.

The announcement follows a July-September quarter where Coal India saw its consolidated net profit grow 53 per cent year-on-year to ₹6,516 crore. Revenue from operations for the same period rose 20.9 per cent to ₹44,179 crore.

Based on a reference share price of ₹408, the ₹10.25 dividend represents a payout yield of approximately 2.5 per cent. The company's trailing 12-month dividend payout was ₹26.50 per share.

Coal India's share price has risen 5.01 per cent over the past year, though it has seen a 2.95 per cent decline over the last month.
