The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses will hold an additional round to fill vacant medical and dental seats.

The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) has announced an extra admission round to fill vacant MBBS and BDS seats in Gujarat. According to The Times of India, the admission deadline has been extended to November 15.

Students participating in this round must pay a mandatory deposit of Rs 3 lakh to the committee to be eligible for seat allotment. Those who are allotted a seat but refuse admission will lose the Rs 3 lakh deposit and face a Rs 10,000 penalty.

Under the state quota, the additional round aims to fill 56 MBBS and 32 BDS seats. Vacancies include seven seats at NHL Municipal Medical College, 18 management quota seats at Namo Medical College, and nine seats at Pramukhswami Medical College, Karamsad.

In the dental stream, 32 seats remain vacant across 16 colleges, with Ahmedabad Dental College having the most vacancies at six. The committee stated that candidates who confirmed seats in a previous round or those allotted seats in the fourth round who did not confirm their admission are ineligible.

Eligible candidates have been told to finish their choice filling by November 4.
