UP administrations must complete Rani Lakshmi Bai Scooty Scheme verification by November 10

District officials have been instructed to verify documents for girl students selected for the scooter distribution scheme across Uttar Pradesh.

District administrations in Uttar Pradesh have been told to finish document verification for girl students chosen under the Rani Lakshmi Bai Scooty Scheme by November 10, according to the Hindustan Times.

Additional chief secretary (higher education) Amit Kumar Ghosh issued these instructions to divisional commissioners and district magistrates on October 26 to prepare for scooter distribution.

The verification process includes checking income and domicile certificates, alongside disability certificates for specially-abled students, death certificates for those from destitute families, and proof of dependency for families of martyrs.

District administrations will appoint an additional district magistrate or a chief development officer as a nodal officer to lead a committee for coordinating the distribution.

The district magistrate of the location where a student graduated will manage the allocation, using the e-District portal and DM logins to confirm domicile and income details.

Eligible beneficiaries are meritorious female graduates from the 2025–26 academic session who ranked within the top 5 per cent of their university or college merit lists.
