HMT unveils HMT Kannadiga watch collection in Bengaluru
Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy launched the new series to mark the 71st Karnataka Rajyotsava.
Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H.D. Kumaraswamy unveiled a new collection of watches by Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT) on Sunday. According to The Hindu, the collection, named “HMT Kannadiga”, was launched in Bengaluru to mark the 71st Karnataka Rajyotsava.
The new collection includes four different variants with the same design but different strap and chain options. The watches feature Kannada numericals on the dials, a Gandabherunda emblem, and the yellow-and-red Kannada flag.
The watches are estimated to be priced at ₹3,500 and ₹3,600, which places them in the premium segment of HMT. Officials stated that the watches will include modern technology, a radium glow, and genuine Italian leather straps for the strap variants.
While hundreds of people gathered at the HMT grounds in north Bengaluru, the watches were not yet available for purchase. The collection is expected to be available soon at HMT stores in the city.
