MobiKwik shares rise 10 per cent on record quarterly profit

The fintech platform reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 11.8 crore for the second quarter of FY27.

Shares of One MobiKwik Systems climbed nearly 10 per cent on Monday afternoon after the fintech firm reported its highest quarterly consolidated net profit of Rs 11.8 crore in the second quarter of FY27, according to The Economic Times.

This performance marks a turnaround from the net loss of Rs 28.6 crore recorded in the same quarter of the previous financial year. The company's net profit also grew more than 55 per cent from the Rs 7.6 crore recorded in the first quarter of FY27.

Revenue from operations rose 9 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,082.6 crore during the period. The firm also achieved a quarterly EBITDA of Rs 22.7 crore, compared to an EBITDA loss of Rs 6.4 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY26.

MobiKwik Co-founder, MD and CEO Bipin Preet Singh said the second quarter of FY27 was the company's fourth straight profitable quarter. He stated that the results show progress toward a sustainable business and noted that lending disbursals have crossed the Rs 1,000 crore mark.

The company attributed the results to faster gross merchandise value (GMV) growth and better operating margins. The GMV reached Rs 59,677 crore, while lending disbursal GMV grew 34 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,083 crore.

Singh added that the business model will benefit from operating leverage as the firm evolves into an AI-first company. The company noted that AI now generates 92 per cent of its code.
