Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will inaugurate the two-day event involving 300 public representatives in Thiruvananthapuram.

The Kerala Assembly will host a conference of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairpersons from 25 states on November 3 and 4, according to The Hindu.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will inaugurate the event, which is expected to see the participation of 300 public representatives, including MPs and MLAs from various states.

Kerala Assembly Speaker Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, addressing a press conference on Monday, said this is the first time the state is hosting such a conference.

The inaugural and closing ceremonies will take place at the Sankaranarayanan Thampi Members Lounge in the Assembly complex, while plenary sessions will be held in the Assembly Hall.

Radhakrishnan stated that he moved a resolution to allow events in the Assembly Hall, which all members responded to favourably. He noted that the PAC examines CAG reports and submits them to the Assembly.

Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan, Parliament PAC chairperson Venugopal, and Kerala PAC chairperson K.N. Balagopal are among those expected to speak.
