Honda Cars India domestic sales rise 19 per cent in October 2026
The company reported 7,609 domestic units sold, driven by the new Elevate model despite a decline in total sales.
Honda Cars India sold 7,609 vehicles in the domestic market during October 2026, according to a report by RushLane. This represents a 19 per cent year-on-year increase from the 6,394 units sold in October 2025.
The company's total sales for the month reached 8,082 units, which includes 473 exported vehicles. While domestic volumes grew, combined sales fell by 23.16 per cent compared to October 2025 due to lower overseas shipments.
Domestic sales saw a 70.41 per cent month-on-month increase from the 4,465 units sold in September 2026. Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing & Sales at Honda Cars India, stated that festive demand and positive sentiment for the model range helped the October performance.
Behl identified the new Elevate as a primary driver of the sales momentum during the month. The company noted that the SUV's styling, features, and appeal contributed to customer interest.
Export volumes dropped to 473 units in October 2026, down from 4,124 units in October 2025. This 88.53 per cent year-on-year decline in exports resulted in total combined sales falling from 10,518 units in October 2025 to 8,082 units in October 2026.
Honda is scheduled to debut a new made-in-India electric SUV on December 2, 2026. The model is intended for both the domestic market and export markets.
