BRS protests alleged corruption in Indiramma house allocation in Nalgonda

Former MLA Nomula Bhagath led a highway blockade to demand accountability regarding the distribution of housing to the poor.

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) staged a protest in front of the Haliya police station on Monday, alleging corruption and irregularities in the allocation of Indiramma houses, according to Telangana Today.

Led by former BRS MLA Nomula Bhagath, party members conducted a 'rasta roko' on the Kodad-Jadcherla National Highway, which caused traffic to stop on the route.

The BRS leaders claimed that the Haliya Municipal Commissioner is involved in corrupt practices regarding house distribution. They alleged that people who already possess homes are receiving allotments, while those truly in need are being left out.

The party also alleged that the Municipal Chairperson and the Commissioner have failed to allocate any funds to the 4th ward, which is represented by the BRS, over the last year.
