Three arrested in Delhi for alleged inter-state cyber fraud syndicate

The accused allegedly cheated victims, primarily from Tamil Nadu, by promising personal loans, insurance policies, and employment opportunities.

Delhi Police arrested three men on Monday for allegedly operating an inter-state cyber fraud syndicate that targeted people with promises of loans and jobs, according to The Pioneer.

The suspects have been identified as Ravi Sharma (42), Sunny Kashyap (40), and Gaurav (33). Sharma allegedly operated a fake financial services office in Noida, while Gaurav reportedly arranged mule bank accounts for commissions.

The investigation began after a resident of Dindigul in Tamil Nadu filed a complaint alleging he was cheated of approximately Rs 40,000 under the pretext of securing a personal loan.

Police traced a suspicious bank account in Laxmi Nagar, east Delhi, which received suspected cyber fraud proceeds totaling Rs 2.60 lakh.

An official said the accused lured victims with attractive offers and collected advance processing fees without delivering the promised services. Sunny Kashyap allegedly provided his bank accounts to route the cheated money.
